Easy Gil in FFXIV
There are various methods available in FFXIV for earning Gil, such as combat techniques or gathering and crafting; each yields different amounts of Gil.
Gatherers or Crafters Jobs -- Miner, Carpenter, Weaver and Culinarian -- offer some of the highest gil-making potential in Final Fantasy XIV. Their products will bring in substantial income through selling on the Market Board.
1. Farming in the Plains
Gil is an essential in-game currency used to purchase items and services such as crafting ingredients and mounts. Crafting and gathering can also yield great rewards in Gil. For instance, low level housing items created can be sold on the Market Board with significant markup over their cost to make.
3. Gathering in the Sea
Gathering classes are an effective way of earning Gil in-game. This is especially beneficial during early patches when new items or nodes may be in high demand, as well as due to an influx of players attempting to level their gathering classes, which drives up prices due to demand.
This method requires minimal gear to get going, making it suitable for classes up to level 50. With enough knowledge and the appropriate botanist, fisher or miner you could quickly be making thousands per hour on untimed nodes or up to hundreds on timed nodes!
At higher level ranges you'll also have access to Treasure Maps which offer huge sums of Gil, but be mindful that only one at a time may be kept, with any extras sent over mail as they must go straight back out again - perfect for free trial players looking for quick ways to earn tons of Gil quickly!
4. Gathering in the Desert
FFXIV provides players with many ways to earn money. Questing, dungeons and main scenario quests all offer plenty of gil for players to acquire. In addition, players can sell items, materia or even exploit the W-Item duplication bug to make additional gil.
Gathering is one of the most reliable gil-making techniques, as it involves collecting materials that are always in demand (particularly with new patches). Unfortunately, gathering is time consuming and requires an introductory class in Gathering.
Farming treasure maps is another efficient method of earning Gil in FFXIV, as players can do this every day and sell them on the Market Board to earn lots of Gil. Players may also take part in Duty Roulette and Challenge Log activities to generate some additional gil - although these methods of earning Gil may not be as reliable.
